Please review design

I would like to have reviewed the design for my Candle Stores ( Lumanari ). I know it's a dark colorscheme but I think it represents the light of the candles in the dark. I hope you got my point.

Any suggestions regarding the text or layout are welcomes. Please also drop a few lines regarding the graphics / image on the site, are they descriptive enough ? Is the design clear ?

It is ok. It seems just a bit cluttered, but that could be just me

 

A little bit less confusion would be appreciated, but colours are well choosen

Everything creates the same visual attention.

Less important things should be less highlighted

Also... there is something about the two pink bars "Recomended products" and "Featured Products" that is not OK

 

i disagree, i think its a bit busy but in a balanced way, the only thing i dont like is the horizontal rule, the pink ones, i think it would look better if the one on the left column was aligned with the main one.

 

You've designed it well. Maybe, make some fonts bigger. Good luck!

I think the design is OK. Pink and black are not my favourite colours but it seems to work for the products. I would maybe pay some attention to the way the Reccomended and Featured Products lineup up horizontally.

 

IMHO very bad template.
I'd rearrange candle table into vertical column stuck to the right. Otherwise your "welcome" text absolutely not in place.
I suggest you split big picture into three parts. Side parts leave graphical but center part make stylized text. And remove link from it coz it duplicates "new products" menu link. And consider make the big pic less height. general mistake is your big pic consumes much space and absolutely worthless.

Hmm, I think its well desgined site.

 

I agree with the comments about problems with things lining up. It does look a lot better in Internet Explorer vs. FireFox. So maybe you need to tweak some things to line up better in FireFox.

Overall the page is a little overwhelming. There should be 2 or 3 important features that draw more attention. Basically everything in green or pink draws the eye. For example, your blog link shouldn't be so bright.

I also agree that you should get rid of those big pink bars. Try a dark shade of green or something.

I don't think that the Black is a back choice, esp for a candle site, I do not like the accent colors that were chosen. I think that they look very much like a template, versus you own design.
