I've started a new 'network' of blogs on blogger (going to get domains once the blogs bring in a few bucks), and I was hoping that somebody could review my adsense placement and suggest better places to put it or better colours to use, etc. The blog is at www.cashsavvy.blogspot.com (sorry for lack of linkage, but I don't have the req. posts yet, maybe someone can link below ). As you can see, the adsense is in the top section of the sidebar. Seeing as I don't have much space, where else should I put another group of ads, or should I just leave 1 ad block as it is (better CPC as I've heard)? Also, on a somewhat unrelated subject, is the links to my other blogs at the bottom okay? Will I be penalized by google for this? Thank you!
I have a tutorial site that is built like a blog. It's content is not weblogs but the design is the same. Its not big right now but here is the advice I can give you. I've experimented with VERY many positions. The highest CTRs for blogs come from these areas: Ads right under the "Read more entries" button. No padding, no borders, make the backgrounds the same color. This is my most clicked on ad. Another good one is right above entries. Also a letterboard at the top is good. I would do this but google doesnt have the dimensions I need. The site I am talking about if you want to see the footer and the above entries ads live: pinkzap.com Also note that my above entries ads do not appear on the homepage, but only when you click an entry. The sidebar, (as you have it) brings in the least. I really like it and it's clean, but it just doesnt do much. I kept mine for longer than I should have, I'm glad I got rid of them now. I suggest you experiment with these and try your own. Good luck with your blog.
Okay, thanks for your help. I'll try putting an adsense bar near the bottom. Unfortunately blogger isn't that all that moldable.
There is no content in your blog. Without content you can't make money with adsense. So try to post regularly and then optimize for adsense
i see that you have blog without any blog posts. you are not allowed to use adsense on the pages which have no content
I think it looks good. The front page is not too crowded and if someone is looking at your page, they are inclined to look at every thing. If there is too much to do, most people get bored and want to move on. I do not see any links to your other blog pages.
