I recently started working for a company called Critical Systems Inc as a web developer and SEO person and I don't like the home page of their website at http://www.criticalsystemsinc.com. I have some ideas on how to make it better but am looking for more opinions on how to make it better for the user and for SEO. Thank you for looking.
The main issue I see is the site is not responsive. They will be losing smaller tablet / cell phone users. On top of that there's now some direct connection between higher SERP and a site's mobile user-friendliness. I'd probably also remove that honeycomb background. There are way more slick backgrounds out there.
thanks for the reply. does the site not show up in modified form on a phone? i had to put a quick fix plugin in there so that it was mobile ready.
I tested your site with: http://quirktools.com/screenfly/#u=http://criticalsystemsinc.com&w=603&h=966&a=23 and I assumed it was not mobile ready, because the site was not fluid. Didn't think that you had a code somewhere in there to recognize mobile devices. However, I just tested your site on my Samsung cell phone with Chrome browser and when I tried to open the navigation, all I saw was a blank space. You may want to look into that.
