Hey guys, please do me the favor and have a look at our shop Clean Star - Home and Garden World The site is live since October 13th...a little over one month and I got 2600 Uniques and 4360 Visits total to this day. My problem is the high bounce rate of about 78%. Although several page visits of the site have a bounce rate of 0% or less than 30%. What we missing are some sales (only a very few so far). As per Google webmaster tools 85% of the 100 listed referals were under the first 10 in the SERP. The prices shouldn't be the problem either since we have done a lot of researches and our prices are competitive to other sites offering the same or similar products. Could it be we lose orders because the only payment option we offer is Paypal and Paypal got in some kind of a bad light recently? Thanks for your honest opinions and advices verdecove
I think the message is not clear on this site, what do you sell it what I am asking myself as I look at it. Maybe you could use the header for a featured products. Also you may want to invest in some good photography, I find site that use other poeple products shot (sorry if I am wrong) a little messy as there is no consistancy.
the links on the center should be more eye catching. they are blending 2 good with the common text and it's very hard to tell that it's a link and not just some title or description or whatever.
Thank you very much for your review and advices. But don't you think the header line tells pretty clear we are selling a wide variety of home and garden decor, accents, gifts and collectibles? The introduction text on the homepage says that too. What concerns investing in a good photography, so no, I can not take pictures myself or have some professional photographer taking pictures of 2600 products. I receive those images from my wholesale supplier and I already sometimes work on them if they are too unfocused or too blurry. But redoing 2600 (and increasing amount) of images is impossible.
