Hello I have created a news site for east-indians, and i would love for people to rate my blending as i have not yet uploaded this to the web, but will once i get a positive feedback from the community! there are two images because of the length, and not a site because its not published yet. thanks!
Its ok, but almost too blended for its own good, it doesnt really look like content. I tended to just skip over the entire header because it looked kind of spammy and just skin my eyes down to the main content. I would suggest removing one of the banners and placing a block within you articles.
riboflavin: thanks for the advice!! wissam: thanks for the feedback! is there a reason why i should remove it?
Link Ads don't do sh*t... a lot of people think that clicking on them counts when in reality it just brings them to another page AND THEN if they click you will get paid... In fact, even the owner of the site is allowed to click on them. Not against the rules...
Oh, I didn't notice your right click since it was an image, that one isn't placed to badly. I would still add another in the content though.
Asen Kovachev: wow very interesting! can you reference this to anywhere? would love to know more as to where you have read this.
Sure, let me find that... Official Google Help is my source: Explains that Link Units do not pay directly: http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=15941&ctx=sibling Explains that you are allowed to click on ad units: http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=18375 And just to avoid any confusion, an explanation of link units are here: (the ones that look like links) http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=15817
Asen Kovachev: Wow! thanks thats extremely helpful, although im kinda of mad because i thought those link ads would benefit me as i believe i have blended them quite well.. oh well its good to know though.. thanks again!
The problem with news sites I see is that they have ver6y untargetted ads. I have seen this in the NYT and The Times.
qwestcomm.: yes, that is a problem but i shall work on this when published as this can be partially solved as i have read on these forums. thanks for the comment though!
