    Hi DPers,
This is my first site and am really nervous and excited about it. Nervous because I keep thinking I made some mistakes, excited because this may be the beginning of something worthwhile for me.

Kindly review and offer suggestions. The URL is www.newslocale.org
    Thank you in advance.

I think space between "breaking news" column and world-finanace columns is unnecessary.
Also you can extend the hearder imager site wide.

Its cool but you need a better logo + change the font to something nice like tahoma or verdana!

Your site needs a bit f more design. Maybe you can use related images on your tables. and you should put something on right side. Have a good day.

    Here are my suggestions:
    - I would stretch out your header to fill the whole page (what you can do is make the image a bit wider, top layer will have your header graphic, another layer on the bottom will have a solid color. Then using your airbrush took (I would say around 100 px, erase a bit of the right edge of your top layer, the header. Then using a table, just make it at 100% width)

    Here's a visual:

Also: Try resizing your header down instead of using width="blah" height="blah> in your image take to resize it. It'll save you bandwidth and loading time!

    Good luck :)
