Please review a site for me

    Hi Everyone,

Can you please give me some feed back, and reviews for a site that I just made for someone?

You can find it at http://westbayfishing.com/prelaunch

It is not quite finished, and it needs a favicon, but...

I like criticism as it allows me to make my sites better, so be blunt!

    Thanks!

    Joel

    Nice website.
I liked the glassy background you added on header image. (background of The Jurassic coast from a different perspective...) also body background image.

P.S. If you like, give your comments about my website. thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for all of your comments!

I have added some meta tags, however I don't know what the copyright meta tag should be. Is it "1st Class Websites", or "West Bay Fishing"?

I have also added my mark in the sourse. Just take a look at the top of the source code and you will see what I mean. You can make your own one here http://www.network-science.de/ascii/

It is not going to be for commercial use, just for someone who wanted a website for his fishing business.

    Thanks again!

Not a bad start, but a little sparse right now I think - too much empty white space in the index. Try adding maybe a couple more pictures to the front page and a full paragraph of content.

Ok. The content is really up to the owner as it is on my CMS, but I was thinking of putting an animoto video with all of the pictures from the gallery on the home page.

    What do you think?

One thing I noticed: under The Skipper page it says several years with 'carter' boats, I'm sure it should be charter. Other than that I think the site looks good. Good luck!

For a personal site it looks OK, if you want to go commercial, first it needs the SEO touch, I think a blog will fit, some forms, more About Us and so on.
The theme is decent, you have to test it in all browsers, the starting flickers and loading background writing are annoying.

I don't think the guy I am doing it for will want a blog. It will have a booking form soon. And I will have a think about adding more about us.

What do you mean by starting flickers, is that the progressive images? and what background writing are you talking about?

    Thanks!
