I want to do some SEO for my site. What is the best book or website that starts out with beginning steps and on to advanced steps?

    I need a resource.

    Thanks!

I assume you are still new to SEO and want to do it all by your own.

It is best to read it directly from Google's SEO PDF book for basic SEO application for our website.

    Hi,

This may be more information then you’re looking for, but you can find some Google SEO recommendations for your site.

It’s a pretty long document (22 pages) but it tells you everything that you need to know about SEO.

The first thing you need to figure out is (a) what are people looking for. After you’ve got this figured out,

then it’s time to write lots of articles, and post them all to your website. After you’ve got 10-15 pages,

then it’s time to get back-links. The easiest ways are
    - to write and submit press releases
    - post your (modified articles to blog and article submission sites). Make sure you link to yourself.
Once you’re got everything in the PDF completed, then it becomes a matter of writing more content, and

getting more back-links. If you get tired, you can always get someone like (Bergstrom-seo Inc.) to help.

    Wish you all the best!

havta give credit where it's due. surprised no one mentioned him yet. Griz is the man.

    Griz

start with his oldest posts and work forward. the one thing all guru's seem to not emphasise enough is how much work is really involved. this is not a turn key industry. there is a lot to learn and it takes patience :p
