Definitely a scam, Google rarely broadcast emails and definitely not this kind of emails asking for personal details.

Absolute scam email - avoid replying is the best option. It is easy identical pattern and here is why

    1. Their sending address is
    acctupdate.verify@gmail.com
    Code (markup):
. What is the address Google use to contact you? Not this one for sure
    2. Google won't ask any privacy data such as Full Name, Phone because they already have all of this.
    3. The email is also asking for a "password". Do you think this email is legit?

No! Don't reply! This is a phishing scam! It is not really from Google. You should report the email to Google. Maybe forward it to .

The fact they asked you for your password was not a give away to you that this was a scam?

Just ignore it or report it.

Email addresses can be masked this days so you have to be extra careful. Just a word up for you guys out there.

Google will never, under any circumstances ask you for your account details. WHY WOULD THEY if they already have your's stored in their database.
