Please rate my up and coming site

I launched the site just over a month ago, it is already listed in dmoz and groing well.

I would like your views on the general design, ad placements and anything else you see relevant.

It is a fansite for En Avant Guingamp football club.

First remove the zebra lines from the background its looking like a puzzle not looking user friendly and make it bit longer in length.

 

I would change the background.

 

drop down menu is against the Adsense TOS. and u can change background as others said

 

Yeah definitely change the background it hurts my eyes. And the Fan Count, you might want to consider saying something like "Be one of our first fans" and maybe give a little incentive to become one of your first fans. The 0 just looks bad, even 1-9 doesn't look that great. It would look better at least until you have a decent number of fans. I would also add a little info on the headlines. As a browser I would probably just glance at them and move on to another site. There's nothing really there that would catch my eye. A little tid bit about the story might though. But every thing else looked good in my opinion.

 

Remove the background as others have said AND I think you should remove the stripes from the header. It's way to busy. I'm not really inclined to explore the site because of those things because it gives me a headache...!

I have removed the adsense leaderboard from the top of the site.

I have also changed the background! Any other changes you think will improve the site?

 

The design is not bad but the background color is still too bright you should change the
background color.

Try a light green.

 

Nice header and logo. Navigation hover colors don't match with the theme of site. keep the on hover color as red or white. Increase some content

 

i think you need more content to home page

 

not bad. its very square, lost of square shapes. colouring isnt bad but it looks a little cheap overall, nothing outstanding about it - which is what i like in a website - something that "wow's" you. its not bad overall though 5/10 for me

Nice header image but the layout and design looks old, try with some other.. The site looks too short, try to add some more content on that..
