You'll make more money with adsense if you align your rectangular ad blocks at the left and then wrap the text at the right, rather than just having the ads sitting above the text. I'd also recommend moving the byline and date posted from right after the headline to below the text.
IE doesn’t give the impression to take over the right outlook, speaking of the navigation links. You might want to consider using at least 3 browsers to view your site including IE. Nevertheless, content is good.
Design is fine but something like colour of ads and some changes in ads displayed you need to be done again remaining is good

The whole site is all text, images and videos are very nice additions to make your site more engaging. The ads are all over the place, visitors might think you are trying to make money out of your site than you providing good content though.
I had never heard of BuddyPress until I saw this site is using it. It something I will take a closer look at, as it might be useful to try.
Its confusing because it looks like a blog and also a social network. Are you suing buddy press? If so, you need to decide whether you are trying to create a network or just a blog
i would like to see the pages in the header condensed into a single line. it looks neater. you can either group pages or do a javascript dropdown.
