Hi all, Im tired by searching for quality backlinks for my site. My site gets listed in google within minutes after posting. Usually it will take just less than 20 minutes to get listed a new post in google. But my problem is Page rank. i think to increase pagerank, i need to get some back links. Some body please help me on this. Social bookmarking is good or not? If, please provide some good, high quality social bookmarking sites. Also I saw many are saying "Write articles" to improve PR. Somebody please describe it little bit clearly. Does it mean to write comments on others blog with my site's link? Also how about directories? Please provide me some quality directories too.. you can write articles to get page rank but you will need a lot of articles to get even PR1.so it is not best way.social bookmarking is completely waste for PR [but can bring traffic].So you can raise PR by these ways : 1.get link exchange 2.buy sitewide links 3.directory submission [best for newbies if they dont have money to purchase links]
Can someone tell me why would people want high pagerank? Isnt the traffic more important? Isnt it better to submit articles and get traffic rather than having PR?
Pagerank is useless unless you want to sell links. To get more traffic, get some qualified writer to post unique content on a daily basis.

PR is not as important as it used to be with regards to ranking well on google and getting traffic. In addition to the above I would also recommend the following: Video Marketing - There are more video sites out there than just youtube. Make a few videos based around your keywords and point the links to your site. Social Network Sites - Create account for things like Facebook and Myspace. Creating content on your site that people want to link to is your best bet. If you have some type of information or widget or some other idea that people really like webmasters will link to you. This is called linkbait.
You should start working in all SEO channels like Article submitting, Free link Dir ,Social Bookmarking, blog commenting, Forum Posting,Link Exchanging, ad placement, press release, blog creation and interlinking. Without working in all channels you can not archive good back links. Thanks Ellen

I have to disagree. It's quite possible to get a number one listing in Google with zero page rank. It's about SEO and the keywords you're targeting. Page rank, in my opinion, is only good if you're planning on selling links.
