Hey everyone, I'm looking for any constructive feedback on my site design, content, navigation, layout and anything else. The site showcases real-time case studies relating to internet marketing and site building. It is mostly aimed at newbies and not advanced marketers. Thanks. http://thriftypreneur.com/
What is the one thing you want people to do when they get to your home page? At the moment it isn't clear what you want them to do. I would think about that. Do you want them to sign up to an email list, Check out a case study? Make that clear right off the bat. My suggestions: get rid of the search box in the sidebar reduce the number of posts you have on your homepage. The home page is a little busy at the moment. The colours of your website are good. Also, the writing is fine.
navigation looks good. I would make few styling changes. You maybe wanna give little border and box-shadow around post listing or whole list to make it look nice and prominent. Post stats should not be bold and must be in light weight. Your website is giving way too much white look, try to add in more colors or change bg color for sidebars.
I like the name, but it's a bit of a tongue twister. So, if I were you, I would change the slogan underneath your banner to either "entrepreneuring on a budget" or to something like "doing business on a budget". The preview images in the posts should be different, I think. Right now most of them look like screen shots of websites with tiny little details that look a bit too small. I agree with the poster above, articles are written well. Overall it's a nice looking site.
