ive got a forum www.littlelisa.info someone has HACKED it ... they have managed to take over my admin status and change everything ... what can i do ... ive got my own domain name www.littlelisa.info but have a free hosting forum forum 5 ??? i have no control over my admin tools anymore basically its like being kicked out of your own house ... i have no control over anything please someone help me
since it is a free based forum host, it is their problem and conflict to resolve on their network. contact their support center. the best advice anyone can give you; is for you to take your recent backup, and buy some webhosting, install the same forum and version of it, then run the mysql tables from your recent backup to restore it on your new host. now update it with the recent security patches. i really do not recommend using phpBB and a out dated version at that. paste this into your browser: as you can see, hackers can quickly tell that you have version 2.0.19 and all they need to do is a google search for exploits for that particular version.
Do you have backup........and can you log into control panel.Ask your host provider to restore your website to best known time.
he's pointing a domain to a free host like geocities but for forums. asking for them to restore to the last known integrity, may prove harder then it sounds.
hello ive managed to regain control over my forum ... although things had been changed and im really disgusted .. personally it feels as personal as a burglary in my opinion ive NO BACK UP as on the mod panel it says they have stopped doing that due to security like wtf ??? anyway ive contacted the host and they have a forum of there own which is http://www.iforumersupport.com/viewtopic.php?t=4996 thats the question ive posted ... anyway it seems the whole site itself is a joke ... there is no admin apparently he done a runner before and deleted all previous accounts and forums made immediatly this rung alarm bells so i have gone to a different free forum hosting site and done my own back up version i want to change over to this new site BUT my domain details have been removed from my e.mail address which i usually place in the " draft " section so i can not get hold of the dns of my domain .. does anyone know how i can get hold of my domain provider as i have lost details of them .... im really having a bad week arn't i !!! so do any of you know how i can get hold of my domain provider ????? thanks in advance
