Hi all as you may know I run a youth football Club and we are finding it very hard to attract sponsorship to get kids kit. So I am aiming towards our website to see if that can help. Quite frankly, I do not see what linking to your site will do for attracting sponsorship. It is not like people go out and search for that kind of thing. I would suggest trying an Online Press Release announcing some kind of sponsorship drive. It could get picked up by other news agencies or bloggers, and you may get linked to in an article. On the subject of blogs, you could seek some out and contact them with your needs. Scour through the blogs at BlogCatalog, MyBlogLog, and Bumpzee which are social blog directories. Look for some personal blogs, work at home moms, etc anyone who you think may be sympathetic to your cause. Get in contact with several of them and see what you can pick up. Of course, it would be nice that when somebody does visit your site ... maybe a nice eye-popping "Sponsor Us" badge somewhere on the page. Every visit you get could be a potential donor, if they knew you were accepting donations.
