i am currently developing this site about yokohama city

please tell me how i can improve it with the following in mind

1 am currently working on a new fatter nav bar that will contain a deadhippo logo and space for an advertising banner

4 adding search page and maybe a search function on first page

5 am planning to make the forum uniform with the site including topNav

6 will be converting photo albums to deadhippo.com style
    like this

I really love the design and overall appearance, I don't see anything to change. Nice work! ;)

    I like the concept. :)

    Here are a few ideas:
    • Putting your keyword/phrase first in the page "Title".
    • Using a robots.txt file to direct spiders instead of a Meta Tag.
    • Using Upper/Lower case on your headings.
    • Getting your code to validate if you're going to use the W3C icon.

well the lower case headings were a design choice but you are the second person to say that so i might change them

    i dont know what a robots.txt file is...not this i assume
what do you mean by ptting the keyword/phrase in the page "Title"

the page didnt validate because of my search bar test..if you come across another instance please tell me

thanks for the feedback....its very helpful and appreciated

A "robots.txt" file allows you to provide directions to robots/spiders from one "file" instead of each "page".
    Here's a referrence for robots.txt

Your current home page "Title" is: (deadhippo.com - Yokohama Living). If "Yokohama Living" is your key phrase then you could reverse your current page title to: (Yokohama Living - deadhippo.com).

IMO, you will want to make this change to "all" of your pages.

IMO, word "placement" is an on-page consideration.

IMO, word "order" is about "emphasis."

By placing the important keywords at the start of the page "Title" you "emphasize" those keywords instead of your site/company name.

Also Search engines (I am told) give higher priority to word at the beginning of the sentences., also top of page and bottom of page.

I like your website... to make it easier to navigate can you make the large titles into anchors... for example make photo albums to point like 'Click here to see photo albums.'

The links on the bottom are ot clearly visible. You might put them in a dark box

i think it is clean-looking. just enough texts.. but be aware of too many empty spaces..when you changed your background (which i think will be a good move to let your bottom links more visible). good luck.
