http://snurl.com/4ts15 Tips regarding URL structure (_ vs -), title tags, keywords, etc. in regard to SEO are appreciated. We have a good PR already but still lackluster Google placement on most software search phrases. Thanks! Oh, and please don't post the site's URLs here. Snip them if possible! =)
on-page optimization seems quite good with title tags, keywrds in url...just try to create unique meta descriptions for all the product pages...as meta descri. still has the gr8 importance in SEO. ur site seems 2b sister site of filehippo.com...wat u r lacking is keywords in anchor text of backlinks...try n use a blog review service for desired results
As already said above, the on-page SEO is pretty good but the description meta tags on your product details pages could be made more specific to the product being shown. The biggest thing you need to do though is pull more pages into the main Google index. You have less than 200 pages being seriously considered by Google for search results. Use the site:/www dot domain dot com command to see what I mean. You have a decent homepage PR, you just need to spread the PR better throughout your site by having a better internal linking strategy between pages. You could try reading this internal linking tips post for some ideas on how things might apply to your site. I have similar sites and have friends who also have sites like yours. If you keep building links and experiment with improvements in the inter-linking between pages you should be able to get a few thousand pages into the main index and end up with a correspondingly large increase in traffic and Adsense income.
thanks to both of you, gave karma to you both and checked your links! we've added category links to our footer, perfected our h1/h2 tags, and added more internal links. it seems yahoo has already started to respond well to these changes. if anyone else has SEO tips for us, we'd love to hear! next step is getting more blog/article/inlinks... =)
