I would appreciate comments on the following site: http://www.qualityposts.com If I could have comments on 1) What you think of the general concept of the site 2) What you think of the layout / look and feel of the site 3) What you think of the onsite SEO (I still have to do offsite.. so don't comment on inbound links...etc) 4) What you think of the performance of the Site The site is for forum administrators to post exchange / or pay for posts with other forum owners. It's very automated, and ensures that the posts that go through Quality Posts meet a high standard (the site is not for low quality posts...) Anyway, your comments on the 4 points above would be appreciated.
very simple design! also , i think blue light better for subject block ( Register/Log In . Useful Links ... )
Looks good, but I would consider adding a nice picture somewhere near the top. People are visual creatures, and their eyes automatically look for something to see (eye candy). Any site, no matter what the topic, would benefit from a nicely placed and appealing (though relevant) picture.
maybe in your header image... give a more descriptive tagline so unaware visitors will immediately know what the site is about, otherwise they may hit the back button quick
It's kind of plain, but that's actually appropriate for a site about forums, as forums are plain (DP for ex.). The problem you might have is actually getting people to join. I's a vicious circle: They see nobody's in there, so they don't want to join themselves. Rather than creating false people, I'd find ways to entice them to join!
Thanks for the comments Getting people to join isn't that hard. It's my expertise, that's why I do forum posting. Most of the people join from seeing the work I do on other forums. I haven't written any Quality Posts on DP since posts here get buried so quickly (Just search SEO and Mike22 *not the black hat site), people need this service, and for a post exchange it's free. I've already got a few Forums joined, and all the people are real (and very happy.. which means more work than I can handle right now). As for the posters, I have a few, and a couple of post exchanges. What better way than enticing with money. The first round of posters are paid posters, I pay for them to post on other peoples forums (I haven't given the option publicly to join as a paid poster since I need to be selective). I'm already getting payment though the site, and I'll keep the best paid posters (those that are receiving the greatest number of 5 star posts.) It's plain, I know it supposed to look like an merger between vBulletin and ezine articles, since that's what the site really is. I keep hearing big picture, but of what? Looking at ezine arzicles / vBulletin / myBB/ phpBB/ smf / etc etc.. none of them really have large pictures in the header.
