Every search engine have there owen importance we cant Ignore anyone but most important thing is u should have ranking on google
Alexa monitors traffic patters of a website then compares them to all other websites in the index. If i am a local law firm going after a local market, a high alexa rank means nothing to me. If i am going after an agressive market "Banking", I might want to keep my eye on the alexa ranking.
I never worked for Alexa. Ranking in Google is the major concern for me, after this only Yahoo, MSN, etc.
alexa only ranks out of the visits received by users with the alexa toolbar as for this it's importance and relevance only aplyes to those who have it on their browser. so Dont worry and look for the real thing GOOGLE.
I wouldn't worry too much about the position in Alexa as Google, Yahoo and MSN are more important to consider. I have used Alexa mainly for checking traffic statistics (history) for sites I might be interested in purchasing. I have also used it to see which sites my own visitors go to after visiting my sites (i.e. to check my competition).
Most webamsters doesn't care with this one. Alexa is a subsidiary of Amazon.com as alexa provides details on the levels of traffic of certain sites received based from the visits received using the alexa toolbar,. It is used to measure the worth of link on your site. I don't see importance with this one unless to those advertisers as their alexa rank can help them to increase their bargaining power when it comes to ad pricing.
Yes. Just like what I did. I only use this for checking traffic but not for SERP position. I prefer to use Google, Yahoo and MSN.
Its kinda cool to see your sites stats every once and awhile and you can compare them to your competition which is cool!
Yeah, Alexa is a general guide, but if you simply bring more traffic to your site, your Alexa rankings will go up, simple enough?
Most people don't usually care unless you are trying to prove how much traffic your sites gets but thats as much use as it is
Why bothering yourself in improving Alexa ranking? Alexa displayed the estimated traffic of a site. Better bother yourself in improving your SERP and if you rank well in SE and get lots of traffic you can increase Alexa.
alexa rank is not so important, but as per my experience it is depends on alexa rank of site which pionting to your site.
thanks to all for your suggestion! but one more thing I want to know from you all that at the time of link swapping is it important to check alexa ranking of that site with whom u r going to exchange links? i think that will be good to check out that how much visitors are coming on that site so that the linked site could get more visitors.. what do you say..........................................
traffic is just based from the traffics received through alexa toolbar meaning traffic from other site, organic traffic are not included.. so its useless for me.. better to check its baclinks rather on its alexa rank
