Hi, Yahoo search marketing means optimized keywords on yahoo search engine & to do yahoo marketing you can also post link on yahoo directories.
I'm gonna save you some time, money and disappointment........if you're new to PPC I would stay away from Yahoo, Google........They are not worth the headache......heck I have a $100 credit on an Adwords account that I'm not even using because it's such a pain in the butt..........I've moved over to a smaller PPC company and have had good success......they're cheap and they convert.......only downside is they don't have the volume of traffic of the big boys but they make up for it by being alot more user friendly without all the restrictions the big boys have.......check em out..... 7Search

Yahoo! Search Marketing puts your business where interested customers are searching. like a Google Adword Marketing
If you are referring to PPC Sponsored Search Marketing via Yahoo, it no longer exists by itself... Hence, unless you have a an advertising budget of over 10k/month, you will be referred over to Bing's PPC Ad-Center Platform to which you manage in-house and/or by yourself, etc... All Sponsored Search Account were migrated over to Bing's-Ad-Center Platform during last Oct. 2010. Hope that helps. Michael S.
When it comes to Yahoo, they seem to be leaning more towards display advertising and pushing their PPC clients over to Bing/adCenter thanks to their search partnership. I guess the real question is: What are you trying to accomplish here? Do you have a site that you are looking to advertise with them? Are you doing research for an article? Why not just visit yahoo.com or adcenter.microsoft.com?
All we can say is: the end can’t come soon enough. The clunky interface was delivered late and was dated even before it was birthed. Little was done to improve it, and as Google evolved and Microsoft entered the market, there it stood, stuck in time. However, that was just about bearable as long as the performance worked. But, as the months went by the slide continued… 20%, 15%, 10% … now about 5% of Google’s reach.
