I think its not bad but I would find a template which has a header image where you could put images related to your site.
I agree with River re: header. Also, although it is a blog, by saying "my blog" as part of your slogan you are sending a message that it is a personal blog . . . yet you are seemingly trying to sell shoes (or review). I would modify your slogan a bit to make it sound more professional. You're off to a great start. Good luck!
