Hi everyone, new to Digital point.... love it.
I hope some of you CJ seniors could help out a CJ newbie... I've tried contacting both Petco and CJ, nobody replies.

What it is; I have a website on cat health, on the home page there are many photos of cats, with words within the photo images. E.g. one photo has 'Pet Store' labelled within. You can view it here if it helps to clarify my explanation.
    cat-and-kitten-health-care.com

I want to put a hyperlink URL on that image to the petco website, that also contains my affiliate code. Just as I have done for the 'Parents and kids' photo for a clickbank product.

I can't use the pre-formed ads within cj, and I am unsure how the link code should be edited to retain my affiliate commission. I've tried to paste the link given in CJ, here, but it won't allow it. If anyone needs that in order to help me, I could PM it I guess?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Am I asking for the impossible? I really wouldn't have thought so.
    Many thanks

If you want to turn your image into an active link just get your affiliate URL code, one that you would use in signatures or emails NOT something with a banner attached - copy it and paste it in this code where it says "your affiliate link" - the rest of the code is the code that is attributed to your image with a kitten labeled "pet store":

    <A HREF="youraffiliatelink.com"><img height="190" alt="" src="images/pets_store.gif" width="190"></a>

First of all, it takes a day or two before they respond to you because they have lots of emails to answer.

Secondly, did you apply to become Petco's affiliate? You need approval from most merchants before you can begin promoting their offers.

I asked CJ about this very issue. What link should I be using for images or text within my site so that links make sense to customers. They told me that I was NOT allowed to use anything other than the links and banners provided and that text for the links could not be changed! They spouted some crap from the agreement. The text links provided are always crap.
