hi guys, such a topic has been certainly posted before, but it looks like i'm too lazy to look for it i'm wondering sthing about keywords when you have the keyword expression "guns roses" in the metas, does the SE also consider that you are ranking for "guns and roses" or "gun rose" for example? i need to know if i have to write all the different spellings or if one is enough. last, does it work the same way concerning the pages' contents? thanks a lot for your time!
Some people may disagree with me on this, but generally the major search engines don't put a lot of weight on your meta keyword tags anymore. This topic you bring up is relevant in the web 2.0 world of submitting items with tags, and faces the same problem. Generally sites that put in each possible variation of the phrase and spell them out do better than sites with only one phrase like "guns roses." The page's contents are a little more forgiving, as Google and others are able to pick out "guns roses" and "guns and roses" from the pages content. If you really want to target a phrase it is wise to definitely use that phrase in the content, but Google will generally realize that different variations relate to a certain few main words. Hope this helps, if it does I love green rep on Digital Point or if you want to follow my Twitter account. PM if you have any more questions!
metas are only doesn't favorable only to google.. but the two other SE still value meta's so.. it not wrong to put the same.
