Traffic of course. Because your PR could be 5 and have 10 visitors per day. But you could also have PR2 and have over 1,000+ visitors per day. PageRank is a work for Google . You have to worry about your traffic. Good Luck
Targeted traffic is king all the time that is what earns you the most revenue,PR is good for selling advertising spaces on your site though.
Traffic of course! Who knows exactly how many people coming here... how many pages are indexed by google, yahoo, msn, etc. digitalpoints - pr 4 out of 10
if your getting good traffic you need to ignore page rank, but not all together. you should still be keeping a good ground work.... meaning still getting links
Page rank doesn't mean a whole lot in many cases. Go to the first page of Google for many keywords, and you will find that some sites that are listed in the top ten or twenty have a very low page rank or none at all. Concentrate on building traffic using effective methods and you will do fine
ULtimately what matters is earning. If youa re getting good traffic, then you have higher chances of selling the website in sites like flippa, etc. That said, I think google's calculation of pagerank does not take into account traffic factor, which is what alexa does. Google doesnt have a way of knowing what your traffic is, apart from counting the click throughs from the serps pages. So you could in fact trick the ssytem by having people search and click your link in the serp pages.
For me both are equally important as both terms are somewhere interrelated to each other. More trafffic increase more page views , more page views increase the page rank . And if we have both traffic and page rank good , then investors are more likely to come at your side than others.
I'd rather traffic so that I have a web page from pr 1 and i get 1,200 each day and I think is like other pr
