Please Help : Xoom & PayPal

Hello All,

What I want to do : I have received some money to my Indian-verified PayPal account. I want to create a Xoom (money-sender) account with British address. Then fund this British Xoom (money-sender) account with my PayPal money. And then receive this money to myself in India.

Is this possible ?

What I found out : In some DP threads I found that Xoom rejects and refunded some money funded by Indian PayPal, which were meant to be sent to an Indian receiver. Xoom said this as "Intra-India" and refunded the money sent by PayPal to it's sender.

So my question is :

1. If I sign-up with Xoom with a British address and then fund it with my Indian-verified PayPal money, and send this money to myself in India, will Xoom reject this money-transfer ? (I prefer instant cash pick up.)

2. Is there any other method involving PayPal & Xoom to receive money "for sure" ? (faster than PayPal money withdrawal by cheque.)

Okie First thing > I never myself tried XooM but what I have read here is that XooM dont pay much attention for small amount but they will do a check for high amounts . So , maybe it can work < though I havent tried it myself > .

 

Ok, but when you withdraw an amount from Paypal into Xoom , will there be a 3.9% charge on the amount or will the whole amount get transfered to Xoom ?

 

I never used XooM < and I wont suggest as Intra-India isnt allowed > .. btw you may check there FAQs .

 

Whatever you try..Xoom will come to know, you can try fake addresses, ip cloaking..whatever.
The best option is to send the money to a friend abroad, and tell him to send it to you in xoom (Pay some commssion and many people on DP would do it for you. )

 

Xoom will call at the number you register for the first time or if the amount is huge, whe you make the transaction- to confirm your address...
