My site: http://www.ripcheats.com/counter-strike-cheat/ His site: cstrike-cheats. info (don't want a link so he doesnt know where traffic comes from) His email: His host: OVH.NET I opened up site 3 days ago and he copied my pages code for code (including my sponsor and statcounter!) I want his site dead, not even changed because he knows too much (a bit dramatic i know). Please help!
contact his host claiming ownership. With a site that new it is going to be hard to prove which one of you owns. How did he find and copy your so quickly? Good luck.
I have noticed this on a lot of my sites, most leave the adsense code in too, so i just leave it be, all the more clicks for me. I am probably lazy, but i dont think you can stop people stealing your website, so i dont try. Neil
Well does them having my statcounter and clicksor code count as proof? I can't seem to find a way to contact his host (everything is in French). Thanks
Actually I speak french I can tranlate for you. Altavista DOT com shash TR does an equal job. (lame i cannot type urls !) At the end of the day though, unless your site is worth allot of money it might not be worth chasing this person/s, unless its just for fun of course. You are probably going to put allot time and effort into hunting them down and forcing them to close the site. Perhaps and equal amount of promotion would be more effective ? Neil
Good luck getting anyone to help you, except some well meaning web masters on the forum in terms of advice. I've been fighting this non-stop since last Thursday night. My web site has been cloned (all 2000 pages, code-for-code, as you put it), and republished under two different domains which are serving as a legitimate looking store front for a New Zealand crime syndicate sending out mass emails for a bank mule scam. (Just imagine telling that story to people, but it's what appears to have happened... ) I have managed to get these accounts suspended on two separate web hosting services, but they come back to life within 24 hours on a new host. My complaint with the FBI Internet Crimes division is four days old, but no one has responded, although I have not given up hope. I may be able to get the domain names suspended, but nothing is to prevent them from registering new domains on new hosting services? It won't stop unless the authorities physically arrest these individuals, but, even then, the crime syndicate can just hire new geeks. One of your respondents here mentioned the amount of time you will have to invest in this. All I have done is write emails, send DMCA compaints certified mail, and do more research. It's becoming quite clear that I can't possibly keep this up much longer. If you will think about it, you're primary focus should be Google. Google AdSense spotted the fraud very quickly and wrote to say that they had blocked the servers from sending any ads to those domains and not to worry about my AdSense account. You can also send a DMCA notice to the legal team at Google, which you should do, because eventually the bot will crawl the other sites, and, if the "duplicate content" flag goes up, your site might mistakenly be penalized, if not dropped by mistake from the index. It is after all a robot. I'm going to give a shot sending legal papers to the WhoIsPrivacy company protecting their identities and let it lie at that point. I've also notified the FBI since my name is still on the cloned Mission Statement pages, and I don't want any investigations looking to me as being part of the scam. Other than that, I'm about done here. It's apparently beyond my control.
