Hi all, this is my first post, and after searching Google, I thought this was the best forum to pose my questions. I run a weather website with facts, and safety info on severe weather. I also have info on weather radios and weather stations. Due to the audience being mainly teachers and kids, I get most of my traffic from Monday through Friday with weekends and school breaks having a significant drop in traffic. During the weeks, I'm getting about 600-700 visitors a day, yet the Adsense CTR is horrible (below 1% on most days, if that). I'm lucky to get 4 or 5 clicks a day (although I check statcounter and I get more). I can't figure out why there are no relevant ads displaying. I've tried everything to changing colors, placement, ad units, blocking ads, but nothing seems to work. Contrast to my other site (a travel site), which gets only 200 visitors a day, but the CTR is 5-10% on most days and out earns my weather site. My weather site is severe-weather-fan.com Do you think kids and teachers just don't click on ads? Or are there just not enough ads for the weather niche (which I find hard to believe) I mean for a page about hurricanes, I'm getting ads about airlines and end world hunger! The word airline is nowhere on the page. How can Adsense see the words weather and hurricane in the page and deliver an ad about airlines?
