I am planning to install Live Writer and it's my understanding that it has a feature that will automatically ping all of you blog posts and updates. I have a list of pinging sites listed in my "writing" settings in my Wordpress blog. First question -- does anyone know if I should remove those from my writing settings since I will be using Live Writer? This pinging thing has me so confused. Not sure if I'm pinging too much, not enough, or not at all. Some say Wordpress does it automatically, some say I should do it manually just to be sure, some say that if you do it too much or ping too many sites it can damage your rankings, some say you should ping a huge list of sites, some say not to. This is one of the reasons I decided to start using Live Writer, because it sounds like it definitely takes care of it, but I was afraid I might be double dipping if Wordpress also does it automatically. Can anyone help?
i think that if you ping it two times not a big problem , sometimes you need to edit the article in WLR and you post it again and that will ping it again , pinging that you got penalties on it that when you ping your contect really toooo much
