    Hi all,

I am unable to restore database (a .bak file)on SQL server 2005, :(

I have a database backup , when I restore and click on Ok button , I get this message:

An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch.
    (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo)
    Additional information:
Too many backup devices specified for backup or restore; only 64 are allowed.
RETORE FILELIST is termination abnormally. (Microsoft SQL server, Erro : 3205)

Please help, what shall I do so that I can restore my database.

    Thanks a lot in advance

That's not something I've seen before, but then I've rarely had to go to the backups.

Can you describe how you made the backup ( was it also a 2005 server? same one? )? You're setting the source to a file from tape, or whatever it was? I'm looking at the import screen in SQL 2008, and file is the only medium supported at this point, but just to double check...
