Hi, I am an SEO beginner. I didn't do the complete SEO for any website. When I was worked as an SEO trainee in one company I did the off page and on page tasks by one by one. But now I am looking for freelance SEO projects. And I got my first client, he never asked me about the work details. But I have to sent him a SEO task list as soon as possible. I don't know how to start, how to make the tasks report in an order. Could somebody help me in this?
First you need to make sure you know the keywords that you need to target. If the client has not supplied them to you, then you need to do some keyword research that will offer the most traffic and best return on investment Then you need to start with the onsite SEO and make sure you create pages that are optimized for the keywords 1) title tags 2) heading tags 2) Keyword density of the content on the page (dont spam your self) 3) interlinking use text interlink using soecfic keywords to their relevant pages 4) check the build of the site (keep the code clean by using css and sticking design images in the background) External 1) competitor reasearch on backlinks 2) link stratety, how many per month? blog posts, homepage links, link trades etc etc 3) establish budget and resource required against competition 5) start linkbuilding - slow ongoing process of negociations thats about as much as ive got time to write for now.. but should give you some ideas... you may want to also set time lines agaisnt each task list as to when you expect it to be complete
Try listing how many blog commenting you do, Forum Posting, total directory Link Submission, How many PR back links you can generate, Also include things like titles, meta tags, tag clouds etc for onpage optimization. I dont run an specialized seo company and hope this helps you.
From the sounds of it, he's had experience, just isnt sure how to provide a list of tasks to a client that will show what work he's planning on doing. Like I said make full lists of each of the following with timelines and do them in this order. 1) keyword research 2) onsite optimization 3) link building
Start from this 1. Check your website if it is user friendly or not. 2. try to read your contents more and more times you can and try to insert the best you can. 3. start building link(inbound links) 4. submit links to articles. 5. submit links to directories(only those which are really highly ranked) 6. forum posting(do posting not everyday, but atleast 100 for a week and into good forums. 7. go for link exchanges with related websites to yours and make sure that they are good ranked(better if they are highly ranked)
I disagree. People that ruin the market are the ones that are not proactive about learning new SEO techniques. Instead, they guarantee SE rankings, submit to 1,000 crap directories and then claim that's worth $300 a month or more.
On-Page Optimization: 1. Keyword analysisi 2. CReating titla & meta tags 3. Image optimization 4. Content Optimization 5. Creating XML sitemap 6. Adding site in webmaster tool Off-page Optimization: 1. Directory submission 2. Article submission 3. Link Exchange 4. Social Bookmarking 5. Forum posting 6.Blog Posting 7. Classified ads submisison Monthly Reports: 1. Ranking Report 2. Traffic & visitors Report
I agree with all people opinions above. You need to perform all on-page and off-page optimization yourself. But it's pretty hard to do this all manually. Send me a pm. I'll provide you with the software that will help you in this process.
