This is a 2nd life for the newszz.com site I have created. I intend it to be a one stop news portal. I had the site on this domain last year and then left it to expire. Then someone booked it and put it for sale (was expensive). I guess they got tired themselves and left it expire. I grabbed it again to give a 2nd life to the news portal. I know it is just a basic skeleton site for now, with interesting news from all sources. It needs a lot of improvement. Please please take a look at the site and provide me some feedback. +ve or -ve anything is welcome. Thanks.
I like the domain name i dont realy like the design of the site. It needs some major work. I would try to design a new 2.0 design for it maybe a logo and some pictures also.

A good site to work from that I always found helpful is templatemoster I normally go there and find a design that I like and work from it. If you can’t code it yourself I would search for free templates on Google for the script that you are using

Thanks much. I will take a look at that site and see what I can get. Just a general comment about the design aspects of a site. People cry about web 2.0. I guess web 2.0 is just more than site, design, right? It has to do a lot with the buzz of social networking and stuff. Not every site might be suitable to do that. Anyway for a change how about Google - a simple site being the top site on the internet. So I guess it is more about what the site does and how effectively it does it, rather than all about the design of the site. But for sites that don't do much useful stuff, people might try to compensate that weakness with good design. But again it only can take the site so far before it starts not to be so imperssive. Just my 2 cents.
your design is good just change the color combination ... and also your center table color make it invisible or change its colour into white i think then it will look better
I like the idea. Like everyone else said the layout needs work, but I like the idea of a one stop news portal.
Thanks. Everyone keeps saying change the color, eyecatching, this and that. But no one is specific. It seems like people are commenting out just for the sake of it. No offence please. But I would like more specific ideas. Can you please provide examples for an eye catching color combination? Are there any specific web template designs you like? Specific and right to the point ideas are more helpful that generally saying about colors or anythign else for that matter. Appreciate any specific ideas also to make the site content better.

You are having a news site so you must play with decent colours .. Obviously some shocking colours will make it a real blunder and very bad to eyes .. BBC News and THE NEWS are good websites for news and you can judge some decent colours with white background in it .. That yellow,blue and red colour is not showing a good impression on your site and i think so i showed you the best example of colours which you really want..
Thanks for the feedback. I will change the color scheme hopefully soon. BTW I have added a news archive section at newszz.com in which I plan to archive all the past news for different sources. What do you think about that? Any other ideas?
