I humbly disagree - that's like saying there shouldn't be a Shell because there's an Esso, or that we only need one national maker of bread, or that we don't need an antivirus other than Norton. Just because Groupon is successful doesn't mean no one else will ever overtake them: just look at what Facebook did to Myspace. There's always a way to do something better. I say "clone" to avoid explanations, not to imply it'll be 100% the same thing.
what kind of coupon's are you offerring? is it country or state niched or is it for world wide usage? so kind of social advertising would be your quickest way to see results in both traffic and income wise.. FB ads is always an easy place to start especially if you are looking at a specific area of the globe for your promotions as you can super cheap clicks
