    Right now there is a whole load of code on my page PRIOR to the text I want indexed.

    Would someone out there be kind enough to assist me in moving my code off the web page and into a seperate file.

    This will not affect your indexing of your text.

    This resides in your <head></head> section and is not read as text by the search engines. If you really want to place it externally then you would place it in the same directory as a .js file eg script.js with the link being

    <script language="javascript" src="script.js"> </script>

    where you want it to be in the body of the page

    However IMHO what is a problem with your page is that your text starts a long way down after loads of images...that is not good.
