My plan: Create several sites on different class C IP's. Each would provide useful content on a specific topic related to my main site. The sites would link to each other. But, the links to my main site would be one-way only. I would work on building up their PR. The Goal: Break through the relevant back links issue by building my own relevancy network. The Problem: All the sites would be owned by me. The Question: Would the search engines see through this plan and lower the value of the links since I'd be the registered owner of all the domains? Thanks in advance.
SE are looking for quality regardless who owns the domains. Go on with your plan .. create quality content, built/buy good text links and interlink your sites.. you will definitely get good results.
it's a good plan but you need a good budget for this type backlinks. you must find backlinks for all of them while you are starting
Honestly, I'm not looking for instant link juice with this plan. I'll try to create sites with truly useful content. Sure, I'll submit to a few directories and do a few other basic things, but most of the activities will be time consuming, not $$ consuming. I'm looking at this from a long term perspective.
