I am having a desktop with ASUS motherboard, samsung monitor and AMD processor.Whenever i am switching it on the red light of the hard disk(which usually blinks when the hard disk is busy) is glowing continously but the green light of the "Power On" button is not coming on, the result is there is no display in the monitor. But there is power in the motherboard and cooler fans of the processor and cabinet are working fine.I have checked the monitor,RAM its working fine. Some times the computer turns on but others it not switching on.Whats the problem and how can i sort it out?

may be its because of the CMOS battery.

is your system a new one?

Yep maybe its the CMOS, or try this, use a rubber eraser on your video card to clean the tip. Or look for anything that is loose.
