Please I need help. I've learned a lot reading the posts here but I still can't get rid of these PSA and it's becoming a problem. http://ferfal.blogspot.com/ I dont know why they even showed up. There's lots of content so that's not it. I thought the niche was maybe "sensitive" given it's a blog on survival and preparedness, but I used to get a lot of adds on secuirty, home alarms and emergecy gear which was all very relevant and ok. SO I tried this website just to check how "sensitive" my blog was. http://adlab.msn.com/Detecting-Sensitive-Webpages/Default.aspx Turns out its "not sensitive" green (which I suppose is good) and a % of 62.8 SO ... what's wrong? What am I missing. Please people, help me out. FerFAL
I just checked. about 4 out of 5 times it shows either nothing (empty space) or one of those Kiva microfinance PSA. It also reflects in my CTR, less than 02% (way less some days) in spite of the 2000 visitors or so. FerFAL
Maybe there are no targeted ads for your geographic location.. I checked your blog. The ads are showing up just fine.
Thanks for the tip. I'm located in Argentina so that might be it. Still, it's kind of weird. I'm still getting an average of way less than 0.2 CTR. Since I placed the adds in the hot spots, blended them in, and used blue for the title, I thought the CTR would go up some. Most of the time when I log in I only see empty space or Kiva PSA adds, so I thought that was the reason. Any of you experineced folks know what may be causing such low CTR, if PSA is not the problem? Maybe this "scribe" template, should I use a white one insterad? FerFAL
When I was first working on my new blog, I went ahead and put up some adsense ads, even though I knew I wasn't going to public for at least another month. At first my adsense ads displayed just fine. But then after about 2 weeks, I was getting a ton of PSA ads (and sometimes even blank ads). However, once I finally launched the site and we started getting some traffic, the ads all suddenly came back. I have not seen a single PSA since. So I assume the PSAs were caused by having little or no traffic.
when u create ad there is an option alternate color , alternate ad url or psa set alternate color or url.
Setting up your adsense for content, There is a portion there that by default allows public service ads served. You can remove it.
I have a lot of traffic (well, +2000 visitors per day) and there's enough content. One question: You guys in USA dont see these Kiva PSA adds I see from here in Argentina? FerFAL
U can only replace PSA with ur own ad. PSA's are shown because there are no advertiser for THAT visitor.. based on factors like geography, ip? etc.. Just be cool about it.
