Should I go with a webhosting plan's(Lunarpages) free domain for life(as long as I host with them) or get a domain for myself from godaddy or other companies?

I have had no experience with lunar pages but am very suspicious of the free domains with hosting routine. Suppose you build a successful site and want to move. If you own your own domain through Godaddy or some other registrar, you are always freen to move.

I'm not very familiar with domain thing, is it possible to buy a domain name through Godaddy then point at a webhosting plan which I have? I already have one free domain pointing at the plan.

If you buy a domain you can sent domain servers to any of your webs on any hosts.

always own and control your own domain names.

Company name is the name of the entity that will be paying tax - or that GoDaddy sue for breach of contract etc. Leave it blank if you can, otherwise it's your name. It's a formality.

You can have multiple domains on the same hosting if you have a reseller hosting account, or a hosting account that allows for multiple domains. Normally this isn't the case, so you'll have to look for one. They are popular though.

Try www.fxstudios.net. That's who I'm with because I wanted a reseller account. Really good support, fast, and pretty stable.

Is it a reseller account? I don't think so. As I said, it depends on whether you have reseller hosting or not.

Ask Lunarpages to help you though, that's what they're there for. ;)

You can host the other site easily simply do a whois of your current site and see the nameservers and set these nameservers on new domain now simply go to cpanel then addon domains add your domain they only allow 1 domain to be added after you deafult one.and now you can upload your files to /public_html/yourdomain the directory will be same as your domain enjoy my frnd have same account from Lunar pages
    Hope it helps,
