Please help me to learn PHP.

    I want to learn PHP because i am very much interested in it, so can anybody help me out in the way of learning PHP in fact i want most easy tutorial and website. One thing i want to ask you how much time it will take?

    how time it will take that depends on your brain and understanding of concepts of php.

    you should know HTML, Css, Javascript before you start PHP.

    How much will it take? That is subjective. it depends on what level u want to achieve. If you have knowledge of other progrmming languages like c,C++, Java will help a great deal, since PHP and Java have the c language as a base.

    w3schools will help you learn PHP in 10 minutes given you know simple math.
    the official php manual is the best resource online.

    PHP is not something you will learn right away. It is something you will have to apply in websites you are creating. The easiest thing to do would be to start learning different aspects of PHP and creating example code snippets on your server, therefore learning the various aspects and getting acquainted with PHP.

    It also depends on what you do. In my line of work the primary use of PHP is database connections and session control. Ask yourself what you want to do with PHP once you learn it and tailer your learning towards it.

    It takes time & patience.
    You'll need to start small with writing a few pages to learn how everything flows together and how to pass data from one page to the other.
    Start with the concepts of what you want to accomplish, then work on the best way to accomplish it.

    I wasn't looking to become a hardcore programmer, but I learned the basics from Lynda.com and PHPVideoTutorials.com... also used PHP.net as a reference, as QiSoftware mentioned.

    The way I learn slowly is by focusing on one thing. Say for example I want to create a image uploading script.

    Then would google for tutorials on how to process images, how to make use of imagemagick via php and so on.

    just use the torrents for getting the lynda or total training videos of php learning... They are professionals teaching PHP...
