Hello friends, I am Manish. I am new to this forum and wanted to know about php scripting. Can anybody throw some light on php language and also please tell me how good it is in comparision with the other scripting languages available. Also please tell me can we connect to a database and list the related search items that we want using php. The best way to learn PHP is to read on their docs on php.net Yes you can access your database with PHP. Most ppl prefer PHP because it is free and not that difficult to learn. Hope this help...
Comparing programming languages is not this easy, I will not participate to the poll even if I prefer PHP. PHP is a very good progamming language, it's still growing, you can find resources easily, cheap webhosting, works with most databases, u can find free/paid script easily... If you want to start learning right now I suggest that you start with some small tutorials for beginners, reading the PHP.net manual when you know nothing about PHP may discourage you (my experience) ...
