Hi DP members! I just redesigned and put the finishing touches on my company website: www.newviewit.com Is the overall feeling too light? Or should I brighten up the overall page with crisper images (same image but more solid colors) Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated... Have a great day! Derek
Not bad, but... - the menu bar spilled over onto two lines for me (ie. the 'contact us' item was positioned below 'company'). I'm viewing 1024x768 in Firefox on a Mac. - colour scheme was too washed out for my liking. I would try and give everything a bit more 'punch' - I can't see the relevance of the picture of the fish swimming in the sea and the waterfall. What does this have to do with Web design and marketing? Along with the washed out colour and the ripple graphic at the foot of the page, at first glance it looks like you are perhaps selling aquariums. - It just looks a little old-fashioned, but obviously this is only my opinion. If you are selling web design services, branding services, your own site has really got to be absolutely perfect! Otherwise why would someone trust you to do theirs?
I agree with the poster above the colors are to pastel for me. Also the menu bar ....maybe make your site streatch with the content. The site does look like it was made for an aquarium based site or a asia marine attraction. Try going with bright "hit'em hard" colors more web 2.0 i guess you could say even though it sounds cliche.
