Please help me out!

Hi,I have started a wordpress blog and I am new to this website related stuffs.I've heard people talking about backlinks.Can anyone tell me how to build backlinks?

I just checked my site with backlink checker and it pulled out the following results :
Google Backlink : 0
Yahoo Inlink : 27
Altavista Link : 30
AllTheWeb Link : 30

and Google index :115
Yahoo index:3
Msn Index:1

My site has an average traffic of 2000UV/day though it was started two weeks ago.Please help me out!

That is a huge number. 2000UV/day, if you have started out just 2 weeks back! Backlinks is basically getting other sites pointing to your site(containing your website link). If that particular website has a good page rank, you are more likely to get indexed really soon, which increases your page rank as well. Thus, that means, more the number of backlinks to your site, more the importance your website holds.

 

Some of the ways, in which you can create backlinks are:
*Social BookMarking Sites
*Create Blogs related to your website content.
*Article directories
*Write articles related to your website content and submit it to article directories with your link in the resource box of the article.
*Make forum posts with your website link in your signature

Yes I do get 2000UV/day and highest being 4500.
