please help me on my extension -- really urgent

hi all
thanks for all the great support and help

i am looking to start 10 sites related to a concept , my question is

should i go with

keyword .biz (which is available only )

or should i go with
keyword-1.com

or keyword1.com

which one will be more seo friendly and good for search engine ranking , my target market is only US market .

please help any other idea on buying name extension please do suggest

.com or .biz every domain treated@ search engines same, it depands on your SEO efforts to rank them high. by the way domain-1.com or domain1.com both are good.

 

I would probably go with keyword1.com

However, the domain extension doesn't play any role on SEO.

 

There is another option you might think about. Example

Primary Keyword target: Internet Marketing

Long Tail Keyword 1: Firm => Internet-Marketing-Firm.com
Long Tail Keyword 2: Services => Internet-Marketing-Services.com
Long Tail Keyword 3: Dallas => Internet-Marketing-Dallas.com
Long Tail Keyword 4: SEO => Internet-Marketing-SEO.com
Long Tail Keyword 5: PPC => Internet-Marketing-PPC.com

And so on. Just don't cross link them.

Since Google is TLD agnostic (they don't care whether it's .com, .biz, .net, .org, etc because they are all treated the same), both example.com and example.biz "should" be ranked the same.

However... In the eyes of users who might be seeing your domains in the SERPs, .com domains are seen as MUCH more legitimate sites than the other alternate domains. .net and .org are probably see by most users as less legitimate than a .com. And a .biz is on par with a .info from a user perspective.

Because users see them as less legitimate, the click-thru-rates on non .com TLD domains is much less than those of their .com counterpart. Also, other webmasters are going to be less likely to link to non-.com TLD domains.


Having keywords in your domain name only provides a significant boost for search phrases that EXACTLY match that domain name... Partial matches on domain names provide no more significant boost than have partial matches in the folder or file names. So at MOST your domain name is going to help you rank significantly better for ONE keyword phrase.

I agree with Catanich... If you're looking for traffic, go for long tail domain names with a .com TLD for keyword phrases with moderate to high traffic. Or go with a less desirable .com domain name over a keyword rich .biz. Either way, I'd definitely recommend sticking with .com and avoiding example1.com type names... They look like cheap, copy sites that are too poor to come up with their own domain name.

I suggest choose extension depending on business which you have planned. supose you plan to do education center then choose .edu if its community or kind of it go with .org else for every thing u can with .com

 

just add some keyword/s on your domain name and do some white hat sEO

 

What i have experienced till date that .com domains dominate other extentions. So better go for .com extension other than using any other domain.

 

i guess .biz is better becasue google or other Se's donot care the domain names . all they care is about keywords and when you have keyword.biz it's better to avoid numbers or other extensions. my advice is to go with the .biz domain
