please help me, my money is in pending statue (paypal)

    Hi there,

    about one week ago i placed an online order and i did payment using paypal.
    after about 30min i canceled my order for some reason.

    my problem is the money in my paypal account, is still in pending statue.
    my friend told me that the seller should refund the money in his paypal account to solve the problem, so i asked the seller to refund the money. he replied me:

    "You need to contact Paypal - we do not have your money. They must be holding it for some reason."

    do i need to contact paypal? or the seller have to refund the money?
    what should i do now?

    It appears from the screenshot that PayPal is holding the money - the buyer did not receive it. A week is long time for a hold. Best to contact PayPal.

    Go to paypal's resolution center.

    There you can find your solution.

    Your hold can/may be removed.

    Paypal sometimes asks for your id card, and some other security questions.

    Dont worry you will get the money.

    I think it is much better to contact paypal about it since it is long period of time already that they get hold of your money. You can e-mail them and contact them through skype ...I have seen some thread here in DP wherein they have posted paypal number through skype..

    Tell the seller to contact paypal or open a dispute over the payment and then if the seller recieved the money then he can be able to refund it. In the case the money is not in the sellers account, then i suggest you disturb paypal a little bit more but surely you will get your money back, dont panic about it.

    in that case, you have to contact the claims department and tell them everything, just tell them the truth and they will be able to help you out.

    i went to resolution center to open a ticket, but i received the following error:

    "This transaction cannot be disputed at this time. This is usually because the transaction has not yet been completed. If this is a completed transaction, please double check that the Transaction ID you selected refers to a payment that you sent."

    so i went to "contact us" page and told them everything, it was 3 days ago, but they did not respond me yet!
    what happens if i wait until authorization date expires?
