Hello, ill keep this brief so please if you have a moment read the link. My 6yr old cousin and her family who have lived in Australia for 5 years are being kicked out because of an unknown unmet doctor pronounced her a burden to the country :'( Sienna has a condition effecting her balance and speech ( NO EFFECT ON HER COGNITIVE ABILITY, as seen in many ways as well has learning sign language at a young age and quoted from local doctors, friends, teacher and many more that she is an intelligent girl with a bright future.) Any signatures would make me and her family so very grateful!! https://www.change.org/p/minister-for-immigration-and-border-protection-the-hon-peter-dutton-mp-please-don-t-deport-our-6-year-old-daughter?recruiter=576297023&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=share_page&utm_term=mob-xs-share_petition-no_msg&recuruit_context=fb_share_mention_variant&fb_ref=Default
I can't wrap my head around "burden to the country". Sounds like a buzz phrase created to justify a lot of unjust decisions by the immigration system. If I were that family I'd hire an independent immigration attorney to sort out what's going on there and to speak on their behalf to whoever. They seem to be doing most of it on their own. What I want to know is how and why is the minister, of all people, involved in any of that? Is it a common thing in Australia for the minister to be involved in those decisions? Seems like micromanagement at its best. I'll tweet your link.
