I have been working to get atleast page rank of 1. But what to do? I made link exchanged with some blogs, and some one way links too. But I cannot find any back links for my blog. I am having around 4000 back links in yahoo. But there are no signs of increase in my page rank. Even I am not getting any backlinks in google for my blog. Can I know what is the reason? my blog is, http://bucksfrominternet.blogspot.com
Google does not update backlinks on a daily or weekly basis. They update the publicly viewable backlink count (the link: operator) once every pagerank update (a few days before the pagerank update). Pagerank that's seen in the google toolbar is not real-time either. The last toolbar pagerank update occured on april 30th 2007. If you have been building links after that, the pr passed on from the links you've built won't reflect in your site's PR until the next pr update.
to eXe: Are you sure that last toolbar page rank update was on April? I can see on some websites PR update couple of day ago (one of them yesterday)...
As of today. Google PR is not yet updating and the PR you see on the toolbar is several months old....Don't rely on it too much.. Focus on increasing traffic and ranking your site on SERPs...
IMHO.. you should stop relying on google PR. and concentrate on getting more backlinks. You should rather build links to rank higher on google rather than for a good google PR. PR is update twice a year or may less frequent sometimes. Recently a google PR update happnd but that only reduced the pr of existing website instead of increasing them. So just wait patiently and concentrate on SERP and traffic. Cheers...
You have to wait for the backlinks / PR update.. and just continue link building and don't worry too much with PR because there's a lot more important things to consider ...
