    Im still new and i cant get my site published- I bought hostgator hosting and got my domain for my first site. I just cant figure out how to publish my site...do I use cpanel or my webdesign program to publish it? Im using nvu right now ....

    im trying to publish my first sites mainpage which i saved as index for filename...

    nvu asks for site subdirectory
    address of homepage
    and publishing address

    what should i put for these???

    i tried mydomain.com/index for site subdirectory
    tried mydomain.com for homepage
    and tried my domain for publishing address and tried to publish it but it just says publishing for an hour and does nothing....

    sorry im a noob but please help! :confused:

    hostgator also gave me two different "name servers" what are these for?
    and they gave my my ip address that i guess i can use to publish my site with ftp.....

    anyone who uses hostgator I would love some tips-suggesstions-thank you!
