Please help me before I give up!!!

Hey everyone, I am not really new to the idea of Affiliate Marketing but I have yet to make 1 Dollar. My latest venture involved registering a domain name and redirecting the domain name to my affiliate link. advertising of course, is my biggest problem. I have advertised all over the web. Some free, some paid for. I am seriously thinking of rolling the dice and spending a heap of money on a radio commercial or full page ad in a newspaper or magazine. Anyone think that’s a good Idea?? Or got any new ideas for a clickbank wannabe like myself?? ...Thanks!

 

The best way I guess would be to build a content site and promote affiliates that way.

 

It'd be a lot easier to tell you what to do if you would explain more of what you did.

What type of products are you promoting? What steps have you taken? What tactics have you used?

With promoting affiliate products, digital ones are the easiest to sell.

 

Yep, Liz is right if you say what is your market, you can get some help, but if nobody knows what you are promoting it is hard to help you.

 

And don;t give up too.. tell us what they are and you will get some help for sure.

don't give up, and i wouldn't go spending allot of money on radio, or t.v. or newspaper at this point, I would try simple formulas I have several formulas you can try out and so far they have been working for me. I would do link exchanges, and such, Need more then check out Dequba, or More Niche, both have lots of free information that you can use to help build or promote your website.

 

If you are just redirecting to the merchant site then it's impossible to promote your site, the customer would be better just visiting the merchant directly.

What you need to do is set up a site reviewing the products in a more detailed way than the merchant so that users are better off visiting your site first.

I myself have a 'review site', with content and other free information for visitors. My site has a blog that is updated regularly with articles for my visitors to read, as well as a newsletter with even more tips, along with free e-books.

I've never tried redirecting from a domain name, but I can tell you that this is the only way you can promote your affiliate link on ezinearticles.com Perhaps you can learn about bum marketing (this is completely free to learn).

I wouldn't spend your money on newspaper/radio/whatever advertising. I don't spend a dime on my advertising.

 

the first few years i made a loss.. its a case of learning & learning from your mistakes. Eventually you will make money whether its luck ur skill.

Theres no get rich quick in legal business..


regarding the $000s on radio advertising.. Im not sure whether i would recommend it if you are unsure about the small term earning.

 

I have had the same problem but I refuse to give up. I went from full blown websites and an ezine back to just trying to promote one product. How many are you promoting and what is it? I decided to focus all of my attention on one thing. Even though I have a lot of proven information on how to market it doesn't work if you are split up with your promotions. Personally, the last time I made affiliate money, I was promoting just one product. I got so excited I tried to jump in the lake with the big boys, knowing half, if i'm lucky, of what they know. I'm gonna revamp my approach and learn some more so I can stop wasting my time and other peoples time. Please don't give up, you have to live your dream but make sure it's your dream and not some one else's.

 

Its not going to be easy, but you've just got to keep trying and learning - your elusive first $ will come!

 

Yes we should not quit just because one project is not making money YET. We should always review back as to why we are not producing the necessary results if we have put in sufficient efforts. Perhaps we are doing it the wrong way or we did not research well but whatever the reasons may be, do not give up. What i do is kinda grey hat i guess:

MY domain is my myspace Page. I Stat adding friends in a a group from the same niche. ( About 2000-3000 ). Post a bulletin every hour, i laos make a video on youtube promoting whatever im selling. Ebooks works well with this.

 

I was going to throw in my 2 cents but noticed he is banned. Why was he banned? Guess he won't be reading the advice then.

 

Don't redirect it. Just make a landing page and you will get better results.

 

The only advice you need is to know that the top affiliates have built lists. Start building a list and spend everything you can on making that list. It will pay in the long run 10x what you spend if you learn how to do it right.
