    Hey everyone,

I've recently set up an iPhone forum but am having a huge problem attracting new members to join my forum.

I've always wanted to run an iPhone forum as I know a lot about iPhones. I am also an iPhone developer, and have recently received an invitation to join the Chronic Dev team after releasing some of my work.

I've set up a wide range of discussion forums. You don't need to be a developer as we have a wide range of forums for the average user to use. We offer technical support and help in our Tech Support Forum, and much much more.

The biggest problem I'm having is getting people to join my forum. I don't want to spam other forums, but how am I supposed to advertise. The few members I've got are loyal and have told me that they really like my forum. But I need more people. :(

Please check out my website and offer me some helpful advice.

What does your forum offer that others do not? There seem to be a lot of these forums all over the web at the moment, and to be competitive you really have to work hard.

Personally I didn't like the design of your forum very much, IMO its quite hard to look at for too long. Maybe you should start here with the design, and then when you have something professional and presentable then worry about marketing it. Word of mouth will probably be the biggest factor in the growth of you forum, so make sure there is something good to talk about.

Remember that although your niche is iPhone users, which means many millions of people, you are targeting the ones who care enough about the iPhone to join a forum dedicated to it, and most of these will probably most likely join Apple's official forum, and the other major ones on the net. You can't expect this thing to take off overnight, there will obviously be a fair bit of work involved in promoting it to the world.

Use social media network, article submission, backlink. When I started my site that time I had 10 uv daily and at present more than 600 uv daily. Concentrate your high backlinks and social media seo.

It's fine to be one in a saturated niche. Keep your self to be unique will help you differentiate yourself from your competitors.

Thank you so much for all that helpful advice.

It's true...I do have loads of competition out there and my target audience is rather specific to iPhone and iPad users.

I am struggling very hard to find something unique that all these other forums haven't already got. I'm just trying to create a friendly atmosphere and offer as much as I can.

As for the style, I made that myself. As you can all see my Photoshop and styling skills are very limited. I'm really an amateur at that kind of stuff...this is my first ever website, it's more of a hobby really. I'd just like to see it work out. :(

I would like to be able to design a better style but I don't think I have the skills. If someone would be kind enough to help me that'll be great, but I would understand if you've got more important things on your plate. I'm practicing my web designing skills daily...I am getting better, but it's a lengthy process.

Especially seeing I'm only 18, I have college and other workloads. I work on my website whenever I get some spare time. Thanks for the help though guys.

there are many legitimate ways to market your website
you could set up a community facebook page ''iPhone forum'' or ''ipad'' and any other keywords you can use without making it too spammy
if you want to get users to return to your site simply send them a newsletter using some of the free html templates available online
get decent back-links and check your meta title and description.
or there is always the option of buying forum posts/forum sign ups my website www . buyforumposts . com caters for that
    good luck
