At this point I am afraid my daily traffic is between 0 - 5 unique visitors. I have been working really hard on directory and manual link exchanges. Please PM me, if you can drive some traffic my way: www.poorcreditgenie.com. Hopefully, i will see some benefits from my existing link exchanges but so far nothing. Thanks
FOr starters, put this is in your sig... YOUR KEYWORDS HERE PHP: Without the 1. of course. People will search for your target keywords. You will get nobody who will type in your domain in a search engine. Do this with all your sigs, and backlinks, and try and maintain a good "anchor" which is related to the content on your site. People with Bad credit will click on a link saying "bad credit" . They will turn a blind eye to www.url. com Also, go to these sites and enter your info. http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=bad+credit+add+url&meta= http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=bad+credit+add+links&meta= http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=credit+add+your+site&meta= Follow this process and do the hard yards for a few months and you will be laughing.. Hope it helps.
Also, It appears you redirect from your public_html . This is probably not a good idea... Simply rename the file fix.html to index.html and move it to the public_html folder. Then, move all the otehr files to the public_html folder and link to "/filename.html" This will give your home page http://www.poorcreditgenie.com not http://www.poorcreditgenie.com/poorcredit/credit/fix.html <-- too long
Use the digitalpoint keyword suggestion tool to look up more unique keyword phrases regarding the purpose of your website. When you go to google and see there are some 2 million sites that show up for a phrase like "bad credit" [ http:// google.com/search?q=allinanchor%3Abad+credit ] you know its impossible to make any headway via search engines unless you have 10 years to wait to move up to some significant rank. Use the more creative and less used keywords that fit your websites purpose as your link text (referenced by others in this forum as your 'sig'). Use those keyword phrases as a guide for your sites content. Someone above mentioned submitting your site to google. I'm not sure how much that can help, it seems to already be indexed on Google. Take a look at HOW your site is being indexed on Google. [ http:// google.com/search?q=site%3Apoorcreditgenie.com ]. Its hideous. That goes back to the URL issue already mentioned in this forum topic (Its a terrible idea to redirect from the root of your domain). Notice how the content within your Title tag shows up as the percieved topic of your website. Do you want the search engines to think your website is about "Header" and "Footer". Take that more seriously. Use keyword phrases in the title. Yes, phrases. Not just two or three words, but a understandable phrase rich with keywords. Something you can do active to get more traffic to your site, is to think about buying one-way text links with those keyword phrases you can better leverage, along with any PPC strategy. PPC might offer immediate but pricey traffic results. One-way text links (done the right way) will build your reputation with the search-engine bots; moving your site up in the ranks for keyword phrases within link text pointing to your site. For every hour you spend socializing in emails trying to beg for reciprocal links, you could have spent a few bucks to buy a one-way text link. Some thought for when you do get users... I wonder how much they really want to see the strange distracting google search input and graphic.
Ok. Alot to think about. I will start with the smallest ...fixing my signature. And then move to the redirection of my website. Thanks.
Hi Guys - Would you say it is better to select keywords that do not get as many searches but you know will bubble your website closer to the top when it is searched or it is always better to use a keyword that is searched often but has ALOT of search results. For example my website is about credit report repair. If I use the keywords "credit report repair" the google search results is like 11.6M. If i use "Eliminate credit card debt" the results is 2.8M. If I use "get rid of credit card debt" i get 1.8m. Which would you go for?
1) If you use Adwords, pretend you are an advertiser for those keywords and see which ones are more valuable. 2) Use the Digital Point keyword suggestion tool to tell you how many times the phrase is searched for (relative to other phrases). Use those two things and you will have a much better idea of the difficulty of a term, rather than just the # of results returned.
A quick and effective way to get instant visitors to your new website is to write an article on how to do something. If you're an expert in helping people repair credit, write an article and submit it to a consumer newsletter or ezine which deals with personal finance. From previous experience, I've noticed that this is a quick way to boost your confidence and profit from some orders from the newsletter. In the end, you've written a helpful article can be used over and over again as a marketing tool. Good luck!
be patient my friend, just continue advertising especially your site is new.It takes time to reap the rewards.
