Please help I got this from Hostgator

I apologize, but I was forced to suspend the account as it was causing a high load on the server, and due to the nature of the problem, I forced to take immediate action for the health of the server. Unfortunately I do not have any specific recommendations for this script, however, in general, adding some sort of caching mechanism, where the script does not need to generate a new page with every request, helps to lower the over load that a script will cause. Likely the original author or support group of the software that you are using will be able to help you to understand how to add something of this nature. If you reply back to this with your IP address we will be more than happy to go ahead enable HTTP access for you, so that you can safely work on the script without it causing further issues. Please let us know how you would like to proceed.

What can I do to fix this? I guess my site is loading a ton of crap in the background when a user goes to the site.

what is your site based on? WP, Joomla?

Most open source CMS systems have caching features... so you might be able to turn them on and see if that brings down the load.

If your site is custom built then you need to look into the code and see what can be cached. if it's using smarty templates those are easily cached also

An image hosting site can be getting scads of hits from people whose images you are hosting.

When I had one I found that one or two users will using most of the bandwidth. They guys actually had all the images on their site hosted on my image hosting site. To cheap to buy their own bandwidth. You might be able to dump a few high users and get thing under control for now.

Long term I doubt that a shared account with HG is going to meet your needs.

Colbyt is right, get rid of the few bandwidth hogs that you have will be a temporary solution. If you're going to host images, you need at least a VPS.
